Dumitru Goia has conducted symphonies and opera orchestras throughout Eastern Europe, including holding the positions of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the National Philharmonic of Moldova, Conductor of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Moldova, and Guest Conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest, Romania.
Trained at the esteemed Leningrad Conservatory, Mr. Goia represents the Russian tradition of conducting that includes Nicolai Malko and Evgeny Mravinsky.
Mr. Goia has taught conducting at the State Conservatory of Istanbul, conducting and orchestral training at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania and he is currently Professor of Conducting at the George Enescu National University of Arts from Iași.
Mr. Goia has also toured extensively throughout the world conducting performances on both American coasts and throughout all of Europe and Russia.
