The Suonarte Association proposes  a high level training course for young opera performers, supported by important personalities of the national and international stage and concluded with the full performance of Don Giovanni, by W.A. Mozart, with the Orchestra and Chorus of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre “Oleg Danovski” in Constanta. 

 

 

Course structure:

 

-Approach from a technical and interpretative perspective of each role in the opera “Don Giovanni” by W. A. Mozart.

– Interactive lecture “In Dialogue with Mozart. Analytical and interpretative aspects in Don Giovanni”. 

– “Don Giovanni è l’inganno” personalized mini-course in Italian language, diction, phonetic pronunciation of the sung text.

– A Cultural Manager’s Perspective – the requirements of an opera theatre for a young aspiring stage performer.

– Direction and stage movement in the Constanta National Opera’s production of Don Giovanni 

– Full performance of the role with the Constanta National Opera Orchestra. 

 

 

Two full casts will be selected who will sing the performance, each cast will be scheduled for piano, sitzprobe and dress rehearsals in which they will perform the full role.

 

Each cast will be assigned an act from the opera for the final performance which will be with the audience.

 

The performance will be the production of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet “Oleg Danovski” Constanța, with the original costumes and sets.

 

Mentors:

 

 

Daniel Magdal – Internationally renowned tenor, Professor of Singing at the National University of Music Bucharest, Artistic Director of the Bucharest National Opera House

 

Daniela Vlădescu – General Manager of the “Oleg Danovski” National Opera and Ballet Theatre

 

Cătălin Toropoc – Baritone at the Bucharest National Opera House and Conductor 

 

Andrada Tatiana Crișan – University Lecturer at the National Academy of Music “Gheorghe Dima” in Cluj Napoca

 

Angela Francisca Doicescu – Italian language teacher at the National College of Arts “Regina Maria” Constanta

 

 

Application:

 

The participants must send two video recorded arias (mp4 format, uploaded on Youtube) and an official commission will select the both casts for the workshop in Constanța.

Asociatia Suonarte propune un Concept unic in Europa: Curs de înaltă perfecționare pentru tinerii interpreți de operă, susținut de personalități importante ale scenelor naționale și internaționale și finalizat cu spectacolul integral  Don Giovanni, de W.A. Mozart,  alături de Orchestra și Corul Teatrului Național de Operă și Balet ” Oleg Danovski ” din Constanța. 
 
 

Structura cursului:

 
-Abordare din perspectiva tehnică și interpretativă a fiecărui rol din Opera “Don Giovanni” de W. A. Mozart
– Conferință interactivă “În Dialog cu Mozart. Aspecte analitice și interpretative în Don Giovanni” 
– “Don Giovanni e l’inganno” mini-curs personalizat de limba italiană, dicție,  pronunție fonetică a textului cântat.
– Perspectiva unui Manager Cultural – cerințele unui teatru de operă pentru un tânăr aspirant al scenei.
– Regie și mișcarea scenică în producția Don Giovanni a Operei Naționale Constanța 
– Interpretarea integrală a rolului, alături de Orchestra Operei Naționale Constanța.

Înscriere:

Participanții vor trimite două arii înregistrate video (format mp4, încărcate pe Youtube),în urma cărora vor fi selectate cele două distribuții pentru workshop-ul de la Constanța.
